Save 15% when you bundle two of our most popular tour excursions in one day! Depart from Fisherman’s Wharf and head over the Golden Gate Bridge to the Russian River region for our Woods and Wine Tour! You will first visit Korbel Winery for a full tasting of California Champagne and views of their historic landscape and buildings. You can also visit their on-site deli and pick up lunch or snacks. It is delicious and you can order ahead if you choose to! After that tasting, we will travel to Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve. Here you can see the Colonel Armstrong Redwoods Tree that is over 1,000 years old! Lastly, we will take you to Russian River Vineyards, where you will drink overlooking the vines. Here they produce award-winning wines but are farmers first and keep a strong connection to their products. After all this, we take you back to San Francisco through Sebastopol, where you will see a different view of California countryside.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this tour? Can kids come along?

A: Yes, kids can join the tour! However, please note that since there are wine tastings involved, you’ll want to keep an eye on them during those parts. It's a really family-friendly experience overall, and the kids usually love the giant redwoods at Armstrong. Just keep in mind that anyone under 21 won't be able to participate in the tastings.

Q: What should we wear for the redwoods part?

A: Dress in layers! The weather can change quickly near the coast and in the woods. I recommend a light long-sleeve shirt, comfy jeans, and good walking shoes. If you plan to sit outside at the wineries, a light jacket might come in handy too, especially as it cools down in the evening.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our tour?

A: If the weather is really bad, the tour company usually allows you to reschedule. It's best to contact them directly to check their policy. That said, unless there's a severe storm, many people still enjoy the tour even with light rain. The redwoods look amazing when they're misty!

I'm eyeing this experience for my parents' anniversary. They love wine and nature, and it seems like a perfect fit! I especially love that they get to see the historic trees and enjoy some wine tasting. Has anyone here done it? Any tips? How was the vibe on the bus?

Redwoods & Wine Tour - Worth It?

I'm considering this tour for my girlfriend’s birthday. I know she loves wine, and I think the redwoods will impress her. Just curious, do you think the price is justified for what you get? Any must-know details?
