Starting in one of the only true Fisherman’s Wharfs left in America you will be lead on a journey along the coast to see sea lions, dolphins, military forts, & more.  As you cycle your way over The Golden Gate Bridge, take in the unique topography and skylines that will lead you from one waterfront to the next.  Once over the “International Orange” Golden Gate Bridge, coast downhill into sunny Sausalito where this tour concludes. Riders can enjoy the town of Sausalito. Post tour, folks can return back to San Francisco by riding the bike back at your own pace. Also, you can optionally take a ferry back to the city (Ferry ticket not included), and in high season we offer a Sausalito bike drop for those who wish to leave their bike in Sausalito for an extra fee.

Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for this bike tour? Can kids join?

A: Kids over 10 can definitely join the bike tour, but it's always a good idea to check with the company for specifics. They usually have child bikes available for rental. Just make sure the kids are comfortable riding on the road and can keep up with the group!

Q: How long does the tour actually take? I want to plan some time in Sausalito afterward.

A: The guided bike tour lasts about 3 hours, and then you can spend as much time as you like in Sausalito. If you want to take your time exploring, I recommend at least 2-3 hours there before heading back!

Q: Is it easy to park near the Wharf? I’m driving from out of town.

A: Parking can be tricky around Fisherman’s Wharf, especially on weekends. There are public parking garages, but they can fill up fast. I'd suggest getting there early or using public transport if you can!

Just did the Golden Gate to Sausalito Bike Tour – wow!

I recently went on the Golden Gate to Sausalito bike tour and it was amazing! The views from the bridge are breathtaking. Our guide was super knowledgeable about the area, which made it even more fun. Sausalito is so cute, we ended up grabbing lunch and exploring the shops after. Just a heads up, it can get a bit windy on the bridge, so dress in layers!

Thinking of gifting the bike tour – any recommendations?

I want to gift this San Francisco bike tour to my parents for their anniversary. They love biking but haven’t explored this part of the city yet. Any tips? How’s the difficulty level? They’re in their 60s but pretty active!
