Q&A
A: Definitely wear layers! The forest can be a bit chilly, especially in the morning. I wore a light jacket and was glad I did. Also, comfortable shoes are a must since you'll be walking on uneven paths. Enjoy the redwoods; they're breathtaking!
A: Parking can be tricky in SF, especially around popular spots. I recommend using public transit if you can, or plan to arrive early to find street parking or use a garage. The bus stops are all over, so you can hop on at various locations throughout the city!
A: There are no strict age limits, but keep in mind that some kids might not enjoy the quiet hike in Muir Woods. My 8-year-old loved it, especially the bus ride through Sausalito! Just be prepared for some walking and make sure he can handle it.

Thinking of gifting the Muir Woods tour and hop-on hop-off bus experience!
Hey everyone! I'm looking into this combined tour for my parents’ anniversary. They love nature and exploring new places. The idea of wandering through Muir Woods sounds perfect for them. I’m just a little worried about how much time they'll have to hike since they’re not super fit. Do you think they’ll be able to enjoy it?
Just did the Muir Woods tour and it was amazing!
Wow, guys, I just got back from the guided Muir Woods tour and the hop-on hop-off bus ride. The redwoods are absolutely stunning! The bus tour gave a great overview of SF, and Sausalito was super cute. I definitely recommend taking the sunset tour – the views are unreal. Just a heads up, the bus can get crowded, so try to go early!
