Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit for kids with the treasure map. It’s designed for younger kids, roughly ages 4-10, but older kids can enjoy it too if they like a little challenge! Just a fun way to keep them engaged while exploring the cathedral. Plus, it’s free with your entry ticket.
A: Definitely dress comfortably since you’ll be walking around a lot! The cathedral is cool inside, so a light sweater might be good even in the summer. Also, consider wearing shoes that are easy to take off, just in case you want to explore the prayer rooms. No formal dress code, but be respectful since it's a place of worship.
A: For the self-led exploration, you typically don’t need to reserve a specific time, so you can go whenever you want! If you purchased tickets and need to change your plans, it's best to contact Grace Cathedral directly for details. They’re usually pretty accommodating.

Just visited Grace Cathedral! What an experience!
Hey everyone! I just got back from exploring Grace Cathedral and wow, it was stunning! The stained-glass windows are absolutely breathtaking, and I loved learning about the cathedral’s history through the iPads they provide. The kids had a blast with the treasure map too. If you're in SF, this is a must-do! Highly recommend bringing a light jacket, it gets a bit chilly inside.
Thinking of gifting the Grace Cathedral experience!
I’m considering getting the self-led exploration pass for my parents. They love history and art, and I think they’d enjoy the labyrinth and the Gates of Paradise. Is the audio tour worth it? Do they provide any tips on what to focus on?
