Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit for the tour, but the ride is pretty rigorous, so we recommend it for teens aged 14 and up who are comfortable with long rides. It's a good idea to assess their cycling skills before booking. If they can handle 30+ miles and some climbing, they'll have a great time!
A: The tour goes on rain or shine, but if the weather is really bad, you might be able to reschedule. Just check in with Vine Trail Adventures if you're unsure. Always good to dress in layers and be prepared for changing conditions, especially crossing the Golden Gate!
A: Yes, you can rent bikes at Sports Basement in the Presidio, which is super convenient! Prices usually range from $30 to $50 for a day rental, depending on the bike type. Make sure to reserve in advance, especially on weekends!

Thinking about the San Francisco to Muir Woods Cycling Tour for my partner's birthday!
I’m planning to surprise my partner with this cycling tour. We both love cycling, and the idea of riding from Crissy Field, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, and then exploring Muir Woods sounds amazing! I hope the weather is nice that day. Has anyone done this? Any tips? Maybe on what to wear or bring?
Just did the Muir Woods cycling tour, and it was epic!
I can't recommend this experience enough! The ride was intense but so worth it when we got to Muir Woods. The trails were challenging but rewarding, and those redwoods are breathtaking. Definitely pack lunch to eat at the Pelican Inn! It adds to the whole experience. Just watch out for the hills, they can be tough!
