Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit, but it's perfect for kids 5 and up who can handle a day of walking and enjoying the beach. Just keep in mind that younger kids might need a bit more attention when it comes to the tide pools or riding the rides at the boardwalk. We took our 6-year-old, and she had a blast!
A: Comfortable clothing is key! I’d suggest layers since it can be cool in the redwoods, but you’ll want swimsuits underneath for the beach. Also, good walking shoes are a must for the trails. And don’t forget to bring a hat and the sunscreen they provide!
A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the provider usually contacts you ahead of time. They may offer rescheduling or suggestions for indoor activities in Santa Cruz. Just keep an eye on the forecast, and have a backup plan in case you need to change things up!

Just booked the SF to Santa Cruz trip! Any tips?
I’m super excited! I just booked the San Francisco to Santa Cruz Day Trip for my family next month. We're planning to hit up the redwoods first. I've heard it’s breathtaking! What are the must-do rides at the boardwalk? And do we need to take our own snacks or are there good food options there?
My experience on the Santa Cruz trip!
I just got back from the San Francisco to Santa Cruz day trip, and wow! The redwoods were magical. Walking among those trees is something else. Then we hit the boardwalk and rode the roller coasters like crazy! The food was awesome, especially the garlic fries. Planning to go again with friends next month. Highly recommend it for a day of fun!
