Q&A
A: I’d recommend going in the spring or fall! The weather is usually perfect, not too hot for sand boarding and not too cold in the canyon. Summer can be really baking, and winter is just too chilly for this kind of outdoor fun. Just check the weather forecast for Zion National Park before you book!
A: You can bring kids as young as 5 for the UTV adventure, but they’ll need to be at least 50 lbs to ride safely. Sand boarding is great for all ages as long as they’re comfortable with it! Just keep an eye on little ones to make sure they don’t get too wild in the sand!
A: Parking can get tricky during peak season! You’ll want to arrive early. There’s a designated parking lot for the UTV tours, but it fills up fast. If you can, try to carpool or use public transport to avoid the hassle. Also, plan to spend some time walking to the meeting point.

Just did the Sand Boarding and UTV tour at Zion - amazing experience!
I just got back from the Sand Boarding and Peek-A-Boo Slot Canyon tour, and wow, it was incredible! The UTV ride was such a thrill, and the slot canyon is even more beautiful in person. Our guide was super knowledgeable and shared cool stories about the area. Sand boarding was a blast! I’d recommend wearing something breathable and don’t forget sunscreen! Definitely bringing friends next time.
Considering gifting the Sand Boarding adventure - thoughts?
I’m thinking about gifting this Sand Boarding and UTV adventure to my brother for his birthday. He loves outdoor activities and I think this would be perfect! Has anyone done it recently? What’s the best time to go, and how early should I book? Thanks!
