Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to join the sandcastle building lessons?

A: Great question! Kids as young as 5 can participate, but I’d recommend bringing a parent or guardian along to help out. The instructors are super friendly and really good with kids, making sure everyone has fun while learning. Just be ready for some sandy hands!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our lesson?

A: If the weather isn't cooperating, Build-A-Castle will work with you to reschedule your lesson. They keep a close eye on forecasts and are really flexible about moving dates. Just make sure to check in with them a day or two before your booked session!

Q: What should we wear to these sandcastle building lessons?

A: Definitely wear something comfortable that you don’t mind getting sandy! Swimsuits and cover-ups work great, and flip-flops are fine, but maybe bring a pair of sneakers too. The tools can be a bit heavy, and you’ll be moving around a lot!

Thinking of gifting sandcastle lessons! Anyone done this?

Hey everyone! I'm considering gifting sandcastle building lessons in Galveston for my family reunion. It's with Build-A-Castle, and I love the idea of getting everyone together for some fun! The price is $0, which is awesome. It sounds like a great bonding experience, but I’m wondering if it’s suitable for all ages? Anyone have tips from their experience?

Excited about sandcastle lessons - any advice?

So, I just booked sandcastle building lessons at Galveston for my niece’s birthday! I’m super pumped to create some epic sand sculptures with her. I heard they provide all the tools, which is a plus! Just curious if anyone has been there before and if you think it’s challenging for beginners?
