Q&A
A: There's no specific age limit for kids on this trip. However, keep in mind that while younger kids can enjoy the ride and Santa Barbara, they should be able to sit for about an hour on the train. It’s a great experience for ages 5 and up, especially if they love trains and the beach!
A: Santa Barbara usually has pretty mild weather, but it can vary. A light jacket or sweater is great for the train ride since it can get chilly. Plan for sunny weather at the beach, but maybe bring an umbrella just in case of sudden showers. Dress in layers and wear comfy shoes for walking!
A: You don’t need to worry about parking since the package includes pickup from designated locations in LA. Just make sure to confirm the pickup point a day before. If you want to drive, there’s parking available at the Oxnard station, but it's limited. It's easier to take the shuttle provided!

Just did the Santa Barbara train trip! Amazing day!
I just got back from the Santa Barbara Scenic Train trip and wow, what a great experience! The train ride was super smooth, with gorgeous views of the Pacific. Once we got to Santa Barbara, walking along the pier was a highlight for me. We even checked out the Old Mission, which is so beautiful! If you're considering this as a gift, I highly recommend it. Just be sure to wear comfy shoes—you’ll be doing a lot of walking!
Thinking of gifting the Santa Barbara trip for my sister's birthday!
Looking for opinions! I’m thinking about gifting the Santa Barbara train trip to my sister who loves the beach and trains. She’s been stressed lately, and I think this would be a nice escape for her. Just wanted to know if any of you think it’s worth it. What was your favorite part?
