Q&A
A: Yes, there is an age restriction for the wine tastings. You need to be at least 21 years old to participate in the tastings. However, younger riders can join on the biking part if they’re accompanied by an adult. Just keep in mind that they won't be able to partake in the wine and olive oil tastings.
A: I recommend wearing comfortable athletic wear since you’ll be biking, and don’t forget sunscreen! The weather in Santa Ynez can be warm, so breathable clothes are key. Also, good biking shoes or sandals with straps are a must. Bring a light jacket too, just in case it cools down in the evening after the wine!
A: I Bike Santa Barbara is pretty flexible with rescheduling due to weather. If it looks like rain or heavy winds, they usually allow you to pick another date without extra fees. Just make sure to call or email them ahead of time to confirm. They really want everyone to have a great experience!

Just got back from the Santa Ynez Biking & Wine Tour—so worth it!
I just did the Santa Ynez Valley Biking and Wine Tasting Tour with a couple of friends last weekend, and it was incredible! The E-bikes made the hills easier to handle, and the views were absolutely stunning. We stopped at two wineries, and the tastings were a perfect match with our picnic lunch. I think it’s a fantastic gift. I can’t wait to take my partner next time! Highly recommend it to anyone in the area!
Considering gifting the Santa Ynez tour—any tips?
I’m thinking of getting this biking and wine tasting tour for my sister’s birthday. She loves biking and wine but hasn’t done anything like this before. What should I know before booking? Any tips on the best time to go or things to watch out for?
