This is a fun opportunity to enjoy Savannah around locals' time to imbibe. We journey through Savannah's squares learning history while staying hydrated. Begin at McDonough's Irish Pub with the best deals and your first happy hour drink is on us! On the next stop you have got to try the dangerously delicious packed with a punch Scorpion Tea. We walk past city market to end at River Street for a beautiful view of the Savannah River. If you are game for another we say goodbye at Fiddler's which usually has live afternoon music. This is a mixture of Savannah history, local culture, and drinking inspired lore.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this tour? I'm considering this as a gift for my sister who's 20.

A: There’s no strict age limit for the Savannah Happy Hour and History Walking Tour, but most of the stops are bars so it's usually geared towards ages 21+. If your sister's 20, she can join but might not be able to enjoy all the beverages. It's a fun way to learn and experience Savannah though, and she’ll definitely love the history part!

Q: Can we reschedule if we can't make it on the day we booked?

A: Yes, you can typically reschedule as long as you give at least 24 hours notice. Just reach out to Savannah Tours and Tales through their contact info. They’re pretty flexible and want everyone to enjoy the experience!

Q: What should we wear for the walking tour? Is it casual?

A: It's pretty casual! Just wear comfortable shoes since you’ll be walking a lot. Savannah can get hot, so dress light, but also check the weather for potential rain. I wore flip-flops and a breezy top and it was perfect!

Thinking of gifting the Savannah Happy Hour and History Walking Tour - any tips?

Hey everyone! I’m looking to gift the Savannah Happy Hour and History Walking Tour to my friend for her birthday. I think she’ll love the history part and who doesn’t like a drink?! 😄 I’m curious about how long the tour lasts and if the drinks are included after the first one. Any insights would be awesome!

Just did the Happy Hour and History Walking Tour - worth it!

OMG, I just got back from the Savannah Happy Hour and History Walking Tour and it was so much fun! We started at McDonough's Irish Pub (best atmosphere) and then tried that Scorpion Tea—wow, it's strong! I loved learning about the history while seeing the beautiful squares of Savannah. Perfect way to spend an afternoon! Highly recommend it!
