Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for the Scenic Driving Tour?

A: There's no strict age restriction for the driving tour, but it's best suited for kids ages 10 and up. Younger children can come along too, but keep in mind that they might not engage as much with the naturalist's info. Just make sure they’re ready for some time in the car and on the short hikes!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the tour?

A: If the weather's looking rough, the company will usually reach out to reschedule for a better day. It’s nice ‘cause you still get to have the experience without the rain ruining the views. Just check your email or call them a day before to confirm!

Q: What's the best time of year to take this tour?

A: Fall is definitely the most popular time! The foliage is breathtaking, especially around October. But spring has beautiful blooms and mild weather. Just avoid summer if you don't like heat, but it can still be a great time to go!

Thinking about gifting the Blue Ridge Scenic Tour - any opinions?

I’m looking at getting this scenic driving tour in Asheville for my parents. I think they’d love to see the Blue Ridge Mountains and learn about the area from a naturalist. The price is great too! Has anyone done this? What was your experience like? Any tips?

Just did the Scenic Driving Tour - amazing experience!

I recently went on the scenic driving tour with my buddy, and it was such a blast! The guide stopped at some killer viewpoints and the hikes were just the right length. We really learned a lot about the local wildlife too. Highly recommend if you're in Asheville!
