Q&A
A: There’s technically no age limit, but kids under 2 are free if they sit on a parent’s lap! Most kids 5 and up would really enjoy it. Just make sure they can sit still for the flight, since it’s about 18-23 minutes of airtime. If you’re bringing younger kids, you might want to check with the tour provider to see how they handle child safety.
A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, they’ll usually contact you to reschedule. They take safety seriously, so if it’s too cloudy or windy, they won’t fly. Rescheduling is pretty easy; just reach out to the provider, and they’ll help you find a new time that works. I got lucky with a clear day, but I know friends who've had to reschedule and it was no hassle at all.
A: Dress comfortably! You’ll want to wear layers since the temperature can change a lot at higher altitudes. Avoid big hats or anything that could blow away. And definitely don't forget closed-toed shoes. It can get a little breezy up there, so I’d suggest a light jacket just in case. I wore a t-shirt and a hoodie, and that was perfect!

Thinking about gifting this helicopter tour for my parents' anniversary!
I’m considering the Scenic Helicopter Tour of Wears Valley for my parents’ 30th anniversary. The tour lasts about 18-23 minutes and offers views of Cove Mountain and the National Park, which they’d love. Has anyone done it? What’s the experience like? I wanna make sure it’s worth it for them!
Just did the Scenic Helicopter Tour, and WOW!
I took the Scenic Helicopter Tour of Wears Valley last month, and it was absolutely stunning! The views of the mountains and valleys were incredible. Our pilot was super knowledgeable, pointing out all the landmarks. I’d recommend it to anyone! Just a heads up, it can get a bit chilly up there, so wear a jacket!
