Take a break from wine tasting and meet in St. Helena for a guided e-bike tour along the Napa Valley Vine Trail (car-free bike path). Your tour group will be led by a local, knowledgeable Tour Guide. The tour covers 16 miles (from St. Helena to Calistoga, and back) with pauses along the way to admire the view, take photos and learn about Napa's history. The route is mostly flat to gently rolling. And don’t forget: you’ll have three levels of E-Bike pedal-assist at your fingertips! Upon reaching Calistoga, the mid-point of the tour, you'll have an hour of free time to explore the town or grab lunch on your own. Or, if you want to continue biking, your Tour Guide can take you on an optional ride extension along a picturesque back country road, adding up to 8 miles (24 miles total for the day). Children ages 12+ are welcome to join this tour with an accompanying adult.

Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the e-bike tour? Any tips?

A: I'd recommend wearing comfortable, moisture-wicking clothing since you'll be biking for a while. Closed-toe shoes are a must for safety on the e-bikes, and don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses! The weather can be warm in Napa, so light layers are a good idea. Also, if you're prone to saddle soreness, consider wearing padded bike shorts.

Q: Is there a minimum age for kids on this tour? My niece is 12!

A: Yes! Kids ages 12 and up can join as long as they're with an adult. It's a great experience for families. Just make sure your niece is comfortable riding a bike, as the tour does cover 16 miles with some optional extensions. It's a fun way to explore the valley together!

Q: How's the parking situation in St. Helena?

A: Parking in St. Helena can be tricky on weekends, but there are several public lots and street parking available. I recommend arriving a bit early to find a good spot. The bike tour meeting point is pretty central, so it shouldn't be too hard to get to the starting point once you park. Just keep an eye on posted signs for any restrictions!

Thinking of gifting the Napa Valley E-Bike Tour! Thoughts?

I’m considering this e-bike tour for my sister’s birthday since she loves biking and the outdoors. The route looks beautiful, especially the part through Calistoga. I’m a little worried about the 16-mile distance though—she's fit but not an avid cyclist. Has anyone done this? Is the e-bike really easy to ride?

Just got back from the Napa E-Bike Tour!

Wow, what an experience! The ride from St. Helena to Calistoga was stunning. The guide shared so much history, and the views were just breathtaking. We took a break in Calistoga and grabbed lunch at a cute cafe—highly recommend it! Honestly, it was such a fun way to see Napa without the usual wine stops. I can’t recommend this tour enough!
