Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for the snowshoe adventure?

A: There aren't strict age restrictions, but kids usually need to be at least 8 years old to handle the snowshoes comfortably. It's a family-friendly experience, so younger kids can join if they can manage the gear and follow the guide. Just check with the provider if you have specific ages in mind!

Q: What should we wear for the snowshoe tour? Is there any specific gear needed?

A: Dress in layers! You’ll want a moisture-wicking base layer, an insulating layer, and a waterproof outer layer. Warm socks are also a must. They provide snowshoes and poles, but wear comfy boots, preferably waterproof. I’d recommend avoiding jeans as they can get wet and cold.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Do they cancel or reschedule?

A: If the weather is really bad, they’ll cancel the tour for safety reasons. But they usually try to contact you a day ahead to reschedule. They’re really flexible about it. Just make sure to reach out if your desired date isn’t available!

Thinking about gifting the Scenic Snowshoe Adventure!

I’m considering gifting the Scenic Snowshoe Adventure in South Lake Tahoe for my boyfriend’s birthday. We both love being outdoors and the reviews are awesome! Has anyone done this recently? Would it be a good date idea? I’m a little worried about how cold it might be.

Has anyone done the snowshoe tour in Tahoe?

I just booked the Scenic Snowshoe Adventure for next weekend! I’m so excited but a bit nervous since I’ve never snowshoed before. How’s the difficulty? Are the guides helpful?
