Explore the majestic La Plata Mountains and Canyon near Durango, CO at some of the canyon’s most scenic and beautiful waterfalls. This is a mild scenic tour fun for the entire family who does not want to do the full four hour tour. We will stop at 3 unique waterfalls for plenty of photo opportunities, as we climb higher into the canyon. Our last waterfall stop is on private property accessible only to Durango Rivertrippers. This stop gets you up close to a stunning 25-30ft waterfall with some old mining structures scattered around the base. We reach around 10,000 feet above sea level and stop to take in the views. This is a great adventure for the entire family. All ages are welcome on this trip however car seats are not provided. NOTE: This tour does not go up to the top of Kennebec Pass and is a mild tour.

A: There’s no age limit for this tour! It’s designed for all ages, which is great for families. However, just keep in mind that car seats aren’t provided, so you’ll need to bring your own if you have little ones. Make sure they’re secured in the Jeep for safety.

A: This tour is pretty mild and doesn’t require intense hiking. You just stop at each waterfall to take photos and enjoy the views. It’s ideal for families or anyone looking to enjoy nature without a ton of exertion. Just wear comfortable shoes and you’ll be good to go!

Just got back from the Scenic Waterfall Jeep Tour, and it was AMAZING!

I went on this tour last week with my family in Durango. We stopped at three stunning waterfalls, and the guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. I really loved the last one on private property; it’s 25-30ft high and just gorgeous! Perfect for pictures. This tour is a great way to enjoy the La Plata Mountains without too much hiking. Highly recommend it for a family outing!
