Great views from the Valley of the Sun famous Hole in the Rock as you bike and then Hike! Enjoy the Scottsdale Greenbelt Park system and head into the Rio Salado Tempe Town Lake and Papago Park as we meet and take you for a fun 12-mile 1.45-hour tour. Your tour includes a history of Tempe Town Lake, Papago Park, the Valley of the Sun, and the Rio-Salado Salt River development project. Included: Guided tour, bikes, neck gaiter & backpack to use for your water and personal items. We will ride on some dirt paths. Required: Good riding ability and ability to control a bike on a dirt path and enjoy a short hike.

Q: Is there any age limit for this hike? My kids are 10 and 12, would they be able to join?

A: Kids 10 and up should be fine as long as they're comfortable riding a bike on dirt paths. Just keep an eye on them during the hike, as some parts can be a bit challenging. It’s a great way to get them outdoors and learn about the area’s history!

Q: What should I wear for the bike ride and hike? Is it going to get dusty?

A: Definitely wear something comfortable and breathable! It can get dusty on the dirt paths, so maybe avoid white or light colors. Good hiking shoes are a must as well. And bring sunscreen; you'll be out in the sun for a while!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule easily?

A: If the weather's looking rough, they usually notify you at least a day in advance. You can reschedule without any issues, just make sure you keep an eye on your email. They’re pretty flexible with that, which is great!

Thinking about gifting the Scottsdale Parks Hole in the Rock Hike!

I want to get this experience for my girlfriend for her birthday. I've heard amazing things about the views from Hole in the Rock and all the history you get to learn. Is it really worth it? Also, how strenuous is the bike ride? She's not super athletic, but she loves nature.

Wow, what an experience! The views were stunning, especially at the top. I loved biking through those dirt trails. It was challenging but so much fun! The guide was super knowledgeable too. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to explore Scottsdale!
