Experience a private desert sunset and watch the last of the light kiss the night atop a secluded high cliff inside Arches National Park. Our hidden sunset location offers a way to experience the most special moment of the day away from the massive park crowds in a way that few visitors do. Beyond and high above Landscape Arch lies an enchanted area, one of the most magical places in the park. Your visit to the upper reaches of the Devil’s Garden requires a short, but steep climb up a picturesque sandstone fin (could be an issue for some with a fear of heights or range of motion issues). Part of the hike takes place after sunset with limited natural light. In June and July the sun sets behind a rock and cannot be viewed directly from the overlook, however, that does not take away from the uniqueness of this hike. ***Please note that we do not sell our products directly on "Cool Destinations". Q&A

Q: Is this hike suitable for someone with a fear of heights?

A: The hike does involve a steep climb up a sandstone fin, which might be challenging for those with a fear of heights. If they are okay with some elevation and don’t mind a little exposure, they might enjoy it. Just let them know it gets a bit tricky at the top, especially after dark. If in doubt, it’s best to call the provider to discuss any specific concerns.

Q: What should we wear for the sunset hike? Any tips?

A: Wear comfortable hiking shoes since the terrain can get rocky. Layers are key! It can get chilly after the sun sets, so a light jacket is a good idea. Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen too! And if you're bringing a camera, make sure it’s charged for those amazing sunset shots.

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather's bad?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if there are bad weather conditions. Just make sure to do it at least 24 hours in advance. It’s always a good idea to check the forecast leading up to your hike, especially in Moab where weather can change quickly!

Just booked the Secluded Arches Sunset Experience!

I'm super excited! I booked this experience for my partner's birthday next month. We’re heading to Moab and I can’t wait to see those arches. I love that it’s away from the crowds! Any tips on what to bring or expect? Also, should I bring a picnic or snacks for the hike?

Amazing Sunset Experience in Arches!

I just got back from the Secluded Arches Sunset Experience and it was everything I hoped for! The hike was stunning, even with the steep parts. We were at the overlook just in time for the sunset, and wow, the colors were unreal. Totally worth it! If you're considering this, just remember to bring warm clothes for after sunset.
