Maybe you've taken one of the many tours offered in the wonderful city of St. Augustine previously. Would you like to hear about things you have NOT heard before? Learn something new for a change? Little secrets not usually talked about? Perhaps you will know some of them but pretty certain not all of them. This is not your typical "history" tour. You will hear about, and be shown, things on a variety of topics from history, crime, our many dead, buildings, plans, myths and truths. Group size limited to 12 for a more personal, intimate experience. This will take you little over a mile of walking, in the historic downtown area, and last about an hour. There is an extended add on offered; a little extra walking and about 30 more minutes, in which we go up to the Castillo de San Marcos at the end of the regular tour and walk some of the perimeter, learning a few neat tidbits there. Tour takes place rain or shine.

Q&A

Q: Is this tour suitable for kids? What age range do you recommend?

A: Absolutely! This tour is family-friendly, and kids around 8 and up usually enjoy it the most. The guide makes sure to keep things engaging with interesting stories that kids can relate to. Just keep in mind that it's about a mile of walking, so check if your kids can handle that distance comfortably.

Q: What if it rains? Do they cancel?

A: Good news! The tour runs rain or shine, so there’s no cancellation due to weather. Just dress appropriately for the conditions. We suggest bringing a light rain jacket or umbrella if you think rain might be on the agenda.

Q: How hard is the walking? Is it good for someone elderly?

A: The walking is pretty easy, just a bit over a mile on mostly flat ground. Many elderly folks have done the tour with no issues. Just check with them to see if they can keep up with the pace, but overall it’s a very relaxed stroll with plenty of stops to chat and learn.
