Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to ride? My son is 6!

A: Yes, kids can ride starting at age 6! Just make sure to inform the wranglers beforehand if your son is a first-timer. They’ll help him feel comfortable and safe. The 1-hour Cowboy Trail ride is perfect for kids and not too intense. Have fun!

Q: What should we wear for the ride? Any specific recommendations?

A: Definitely wear long pants and closed-toe shoes! It gets pretty dusty, so breathable fabrics are great. Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen since you’ll be outdoors. A light jacket could help if it gets chilly near the river.

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of the ride? Can we reschedule?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather’s not cooperating! Just reach out to Trail Horse Adventures a day or two before. They’re pretty flexible, especially for safety reasons. Always good to check the forecast!

Thinking about booking a horseback ride in Sedona! Anyone done it?

I’m looking to surprise my partner with an adventure, and I came across the Sedona Horseback Rides at Dead Horse Ranch. The river crossing sounds amazing! But I'm curious about how the experienced riders feel about it. Is it too easy for someone who rides often? Or is it more about the views and experience? Any tips would be appreciated!

Just went horseback riding at Dead Horse Ranch, and WOW!

I finally did it! The 1.5-hour Cowboy Trail ride was a blast. Crossing the river was definitely the highlight for me. The guides were super friendly and gave cool insights about the area. The panoramic views of the Verde Valley were breathtaking. Seriously considering gifting this experience to my sister's family!
