See NYC from Jersey City, NJ. Also find out how this NJ side of the Hudson prospered in the past and today because of the proximity to NYC. Much history is here, too, with the American Revolution, Escaping Slaves, World War I and the onetime biggest passenger area in America. End the tour at Hoboken where Frank Sinatra was born and baseball started. Eat at Carlo's bakery.

Q&A

Q: Is this tour suitable for kids? I want to get it for my family.

A: Yes, this tour is definitely suitable for kids! The history part is engaging, and the sights are perfect for capturing their attention. Just keep in mind that some of the historical references might go over younger kids' heads, but they usually enjoy the ride and views. Plus, ending the tour with treats from Carlo's Bakery is a hit with everyone, young and old!

Q: What should we wear? Is it an outdoor tour?

A: Good question! While most of the tour is on a bus, you'll want to be comfortable for walking around Hoboken. Dress in layers; it can get windy by the water! A jacket is a good idea if it's chilly, and wear comfy shoes since you’ll be stopping to explore a bit. If you’re going during summer, don’t forget sunscreen!

Q: How easy is it to park around Jersey City for this tour?

A: Parking can be a bit tricky in Jersey City, especially on weekends. There are a few parking garages nearby, but they can fill up quickly. If you can, I recommend taking public transport or rideshare to avoid the hassle. If you're driving, arrive early to scope out options or consider street parking if you're lucky!

Thinking of gifting this NYC tour to my parents!

Hey everyone! I'm considering getting the 'See NYC Across the Hudson from NJ' tour for my parents. They love history, and I think they’d enjoy the views from Jersey City too. The tour ends at Hoboken, right? Is Carlo's Bakery as good as everyone says? Any insights on the experience would be super helpful!

Just got back from the Hudson tour, and it was amazing!

I did the 'See NYC Across the Hudson from NJ' tour last weekend and it was honestly one of the best experiences. The guide was super knowledgeable about the American Revolution history – I didn’t know Hoboken had such a big role! The views of Manhattan were stunning too, especially at sunset. And yes, Carlo's Bakery is as good as they say. Can't recommend this enough!
