Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit for driving the boat, but kids need to be at least 12 to operate it under adult supervision. Just make sure they can follow instructions! The staff gives solid safety and navigation instructions before you head out, which is super helpful.
A: Yes! If the weather looks bad, you can definitely reschedule. Just reach out to Las Olas Paddle Boards, and they’ll help you find another time that works. They’re pretty flexible as long as you let them know in advance!
A: Wear comfy, quick-drying clothes and don’t forget your sunscreen! As for parking, there’s a lot nearby that’s pretty affordable. Just be aware it can fill up fast on weekends, so plan to get there early!

Just did the self-drive boat rental in Fort Lauderdale, and wow!
I rented the boat for 2 hours for my friend's birthday, and it was such a hit! We explored the New River and even stopped at the Sandbar for a swim. The views of the downtown skyline and all the mega yachts were insane! The Bluetooth radio was a nice touch too, made it feel super chill. Just a heads up, make sure to get there early to secure parking, and definitely wear sunscreen!
Thinking of gifting the self-drive boat rental experience!
I wanna surprise my boyfriend for our anniversary with this boat rental. I read the reviews and they all sound great! I love that it’s user-friendly and you get to swim at the Sandbar. Can anyone share tips on what to bring? Also, how easy is it to learn to drive if you've never done it before?
