Q&A
A: There’s no official age limit for the tour! It’s designed for anyone who can enjoy a drive, so it's great for families. Just keep in mind that the summit might be a bit rough for very young kids or older folks who might not handle altitude well. Overall, it's pretty flexible and fun for all ages!
A: Definitely download the audio guide in advance! Bring snacks and water, and maybe a picnic blanket for the stops. Good walking shoes are a must if you want to hike Barr Trail. Also, check weather conditions as they can change quickly up there. Just make sure you have a full tank of gas before you start!
A: Parking is pretty manageable! There are various parking areas along the highway. Just get there early to score a good spot, especially on weekends. The main lot at the summit can fill up fast, but there's usually overflow parking nearby. Remember to park responsibly to avoid any issues.

Just did the Self Guided Audio Tour of Pikes Peak - Amazing!
I just got back from the Self Guided Audio Driving Tour of Pikes Peak and it was incredible! The views from the top are breathtaking. We stopped at Crystal Creek Reservoir for a picnic, and the stories from the audio guide made the drive even more enjoyable. We didn’t rush at all, spending about 5 hours total, just soaking in the scenery. Highly recommend it as a gift for anyone who loves the outdoors!
Considering the Pikes Peak Tour as a gift - thoughts?
I'm thinking of gifting the Self Guided Audio Driving Tour of Pikes Peak to my parents. They love road trips and exploring new places. Has anyone done this recently? How was the experience? Are there any tips for someone who might not be familiar with the area?
