Kayak at your own pace, as you enjoy one of the best locations in SWFL to kayak and enjoy our beautiful eco system. Bring your family, friends and pets along for the ride. Explore a secluded beach with awesome shelling, mangrove tunnels, and pristine water ways. Most days you will have a Dolphin experience, and many days during season you will see Manatees, everyday you will see some sort of wonderful wildlife our eco system harbors. CLEAR KAYAKS: Clears do not operate as singles, these are tandems only! Which requires you to book for two people minimum. The water clarity in the Gulf of Mexico is highly variable. For the best conditions book on non-windy days and a timeslot with an incoming tide. If the water is murky it is due to a host of variables such as, high winds, outgoing tides, and storms.

Q: What if the weather looks bad on the day we scheduled our kayaking?

A: If the weather looks bad, it's best to call Mike's Coastal Expeditions to check if they’re still operating. They usually do reschedule if the conditions are unsafe, but it’s good to confirm. If you have a booking, they might give you a heads-up about the water clarity too, especially if it might affect your experience.

Q: Is this kayaking experience suitable for kids?

A: Yes! Kids can definitely join in on the fun, but keep in mind that they will need to wear life vests at all times. The tandem kayaks are great for families since you can have one adult and one child in the same kayak. Just make sure your kids are comfortable in the water and are able to follow instructions.

Q: Do we need to bring anything special for this kayak tour?

A: Aside from sunscreen and water, you might want to bring a waterproof bag for your phone or camera if you want to take pictures. It’s also a good idea to wear shoes that you don’t mind getting wet. Mike's provides the life vests and paddles, plus they give you shelling bags, so you can collect cool finds!

Just did the self-guided eco tour and it was amazing!

I took the self-guided eco tour with Mike's Coastal Expeditions in Bonita Springs last week, and it was so much fun! We saw dolphins and a ton of cool birds, plus the mangrove tunnels were like a hidden paradise. The clear kayaks were really neat, although I wish the water was clearer that day. I’ll definitely do it again, and it’s a perfect gift for anyone who loves nature.
