A: Yes, you can do the drive in winter, but it’s important to check road conditions first. The Seward Highway is usually open, but weather can change quickly. Make sure your vehicle is prepared for winter driving, like having good tires and emergency supplies. If you’re unsure, the Alaska Department of Transportation has updates.

Just did the Seward Hwy drive - WOW!
I took the self-guided Seward Hwy scenic drive last weekend and it was incredible! We started from Anchorage and the scenery was jaw-dropping. The audio guide was entertaining and had such cool stories about the area. Stopped at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and loved seeing the bears up close! Highly recommend this for anyone wanting an adventure. Can't wait to do it again!
Thinking of gifting the Seward drive experience!
I’m considering getting the self-guided Seward Hwy drive for my parents' anniversary. They love road trips and I think this would be perfect for them! The price is definitely right since it’s per car. Anyone have experiences or tips for making it special?
