Q&A

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the tour?

A: If the weather is too rough, they usually offer a reschedule option or a full refund. It’s pretty rare that they cancel entirely, but it does happen. I went on a cloudy day and it was still gorgeous, though! Just keep an eye on the forecast before you go.

Q: Is this tour suitable for kids? What age do you think would enjoy it?

A: Absolutely! Kids generally love seeing the wildlife and the glaciers. We took our 8-year-old, and he had a blast! Just make sure to keep an eye on them, as the boat can get a bit rocky. I’d say ages 5 and up would really enjoy it.

Q: How long is the cruise and what’s included in the lunch?

A: The cruise lasts about six hours total. Lunch is usually a box-style meal with a sandwich, chips, and some fruit. They had a vegetarian option when we went, which was nice! Be sure to check ahead if you have dietary restrictions.

Just booked the Seward Shore Excursion! Can't wait!

Hey everyone! I just got tickets for the Kenai Fjords tour after my cruise. I've heard so many good things about the wildlife and glaciers. We’re going in early September, so I’m hoping to see some whales! Anyone have tips on what to bring or how to prepare for it? Also, did you love the lunch?

Anyone else done the Kenai Fjords tour?

I went on the Seward Shore Excursion last month and it was unforgettable! The glaciers are insane. We saw a bunch of otters and even a humpback whale. The lunch was decent but honestly, the scenery took priority. Highly recommend this for anyone visiting Seward!
