Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this Christmas cruise?

A: There's no official age limit, but keep in mind it's designed for all ages! Families are welcome, and kids usually love the festive atmosphere and music. Just double-check with the venue if you plan to bring younger children, as seating is assigned and might be a bit cramped with strollers.

Q: What kind of clothes should I wear for the tour? Is it cold on the water?

A: Definitely dress warmly since it can get chilly on the water, especially with the breeze! Layers are your best bet. You can enjoy the heated salon, but if you go outside for photos, a nice coat, scarf, and gloves would be perfect. Don't forget comfy shoes since you’ll be on your feet a bit.

Q: What happens if it rains? Will the cruise be canceled?

A: The cruise typically goes on rain or shine! If the weather is really bad, they might reschedule, but you’ll be in the heated salon for most of it anyway. I'd suggest calling ahead if you see bad weather in the forecast to confirm details with the provider.

Just got back from the Christmas Cruise—so much fun!

I took my family on the Shared Traditional Music and Hymns Christmas Tour last weekend. It was such a beautiful experience! The live band was fantastic, and we loved singing along to the classic carols. We got a nice view of the Statue of Liberty and One World Trade Center all lit up. The holiday cookies were a nice touch too! Just keep in mind it was pretty chilly on the outer deck. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a festive outing in NYC!

Thinking about gifting this cruise—any thoughts?

I’m considering getting the Christmas cruise for my grandparents. They love music and always appreciate a good view of the city. Just wondering if anyone knows how the seating works. Is it assigned? Also, would older folks find it easy to get around on the boat?
