A: The age limit is 10 years old to participate in the shark cage diving experience. Kids must be accompanied by a paying adult, so it's perfect for family outings. Just make sure they’re comfortable in the water since they'll be wearing snorkel gear!

Q: How hard is it to get into the cage? I’m not super athletic.

A: Getting into the cage is pretty straightforward! You enter from above, and the crew is really helpful. As long as you can manage a short ladder, you’ll be fine! It’s designed for all fitness levels, so don’t stress. Plus, you can always just hang out on the boat if you decide it’s not for you.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Do they reschedule?

A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, they’ll usually reschedule you for another day. Safety is their priority, and they keep a close eye on conditions. Make sure to check their cancellation policy when booking, but most of the time, they will work with you to find a new date that fits!

Just went shark cage diving on Oahu and it was epic!

I did the shark cage diving tour last week on Oahu’s North Shore, and WOW, what an experience! The crew from Hawaii Shark Encounters were super chill and made it all feel safe. I’ve never seen sharks so close! We saw Galapagos and Sandbar sharks swimming right under us. I’m not the best swimmer, but getting into the cage was easier than I thought. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to do something unique while visiting Hawaii!
