Q&A

Q: Are there any age limits for this boat tour? It's for my kids.

A: There's no strict age limit for the tour, but kids generally love the experience! Just make sure they're comfortable on a boat and wear life jackets (which are provided). It’s a great chance for them to learn about fossils and the local marine life. Parents should keep an eye on the little ones while beachcombing, though!

Q: What should I wear? Is it okay if I wear flip-flops?

A: Flip-flops are fine for the beach portion, but I'd recommend wearing something with a bit more grip for the boat. The deck can be a little slippery, especially if it's wet. Also, a hat and sunscreen are definitely a good idea since you'll be out in the sun for a bit!

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather’s bad?

A: Yes! If the weather doesn't cooperate, they’ll reach out to you to reschedule. Safety is a priority for them. Just keep in mind that it’s best to check the forecast a few days ahead to see if you might need to adjust your plans.

Just did the Shark Teeth Adventure and it was awesome!

I went on the Shark Teeth and Fossil Island Adventure Boat Tour with a couple of friends last weekend and we had the best time! The view of Charleston's skyline from the boat was unreal. We found some really cool shark teeth too! It’s such a laid-back vibe because you can bring your own snacks and drinks, which made it more fun. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a unique experience in Charleston!

Considering this tour as a gift for my brother!

I’m thinking of giving my brother this Shark Teeth and Fossil Island Adventure as a gift. He loves the beach and is super into fossils! Has anyone done this tour? What was your experience like? I want to make sure it’ll be a hit. Also, how many people is it usually with? Trying to plan for his friends to join.
