Q&A
A: There isn't a strict age limit for kids, so families can definitely bring children of all ages! Just keep in mind, it's a ferry ride and the island can be pretty hot, so make sure the little ones are prepared with sun hats and sunscreen. Also, the beach can have some steep areas, so watch them closely! The staff is super friendly and accommodating.
A: Definitely bring sunscreen, water, and snacks. The ferry does sell some drinks and snacks, but it's better to have your own. Also, consider bringing beach chairs or an umbrella if you want shade—there are some available for rent at the pier store, but they can get snatched up quickly! And don’t forget your shells; the beach is a treasure trove.
A: If the weather looks bad, you can definitely reschedule your trip. Just make sure to contact Guest Services Inc. ahead of time. They are usually pretty flexible as long as you give them a heads up. It’s best to check their policy on their site to see how it works, though!

Thinking about gifting the Shell Island Ferry experience!
Hey everyone! I'm considering getting the Shell Island Ferry trip for my sister's birthday. She loves beaches and nature. I’m just a bit worried about the logistics—like parking and how early we need to arrive. Any tips to make this gift a hit?
Just got back from Shell Island!
I went to Shell Island last week and it was amazing! The beaches are beautiful, and we found so many unique shells. We packed our own snacks which saved us some money. If you go, definitely get there early to grab a good spot on the beach. Totally recommend this for anyone looking for a day of fun in the sun!
