Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but the tour is best for those who can handle early mornings and some light walking at altitude. Kids might enjoy it, but make sure they're up for the early drive! Just check with Valley Isle Excursions if you have younger kids, they might have recommendations.
A: Dress in layers! It gets super cold at the summit before sunrise, so a warm jacket is a must. You can always peel off layers once the sun comes up. Closed-toe shoes are also recommended since there might be some walking on uneven terrain.
A: Booking in advance is definitely a good idea as spots fill up quickly, especially during peak season. Weather can affect the tour—if it's too cloudy, they might cancel or reschedule. If that happens, you'll usually get a full refund or can pick another date. Just keep an eye on the forecast!

Just did the Haleakala Sunrise Tour - WOW!
I can't believe I finally did the Haleakala Sunrise Tour! The views were absolutely breathtaking. We left super early, but it was so worth it. Our guide was great—really knowledgeable about the area. The air was chilly at the top, so definitely take layers. It's a bit of a challenge getting up there, but the sunrise over Maui was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I’d totally recommend it to anyone visiting!
Gift Idea? Haleakala Sunrise Tour!
I’m thinking of gifting the Haleakala Sunrise Tour to my parents when they visit Maui next month. They love nature and photography! Has anyone done it and can share how it was? Is it suitable for older folks? Would love any tips on what to expect!
