Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to join the kayaking? My son is 7 years old.

A: There's no strict age limit, but kids typically need to be at least 5 to paddle along in a tandem kayak with an adult. The provider has life vests for all sizes, which is great! Just keep in mind that the experience can be a bit strenuous at times, especially for younger kids, so it's best to gauge their comfort level.

Q: What should we wear for kayaking? Is it okay to wear flip-flops?

A: Definitely wear something comfortable that you don’t mind getting wet! Flip-flops are okay, but I'd recommend water shoes or sandals with straps for better grip. Also, don't forget sunscreen and maybe a hat because you’re out in the sun for a while!

Q: What if the weather turns bad? Do they give refunds or reschedule?

A: If the weather looks risky, they usually reach out to reschedule or provide a refund. Safety is their top priority! Just make sure you check the forecast before your trip, and if it looks sketchy, reach out to them ahead of time.

Just booked the Silver Springs kayaking trip! Any tips?

Hey everyone! I'm taking my partner for our anniversary to Silver Springs Jungle Kayaking next weekend. Super excited! I heard about the chance to see manatees and all the wildlife. What should I bring? Any must-dos or recommendations for a great day on the water? Thanks!

Has anyone seen monkeys while kayaking at Silver Springs?

I’m curious if people have actually spotted monkeys during the paddleboarding. I’ve heard mixed reviews. I want to surprise my kids with this experience, but they’re all about the monkeys! Any stories?
