Silver Springs kayaking is open all year long, and it’s a fantastic place for adventure whenever you’re ready to go! Manatee season is November through March but there are 7 manatees that call Silver Springs home year round! So we have the possibility to see the occasional manatees. Whenever you decide to take the tour, you can count on blue, crystal clear water and tons of fascinating history about this 200 year-old attraction. Besides the possibility of seeing manatees and monkeys, there are all kinds of wildlife to be seen year round, and I’ve memorized all their hot-spots. I can’t wait to show you! (there is a max weight limit of 250lbs for the single kayaks and 450lbs for the tandem)*Please note if you need a two person tandem. My kayak tours are capped at 6 kayaks per tour, perfect for families and smaller groups!****Same day bookings please call before booking for vessel availability as I may only have single kayaks OR tandems****This tour has a 2 guest minimum.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the kayak tour? Thinking of gifting this to my niece who's 12.

A: There’s no strict age limit, but kids need to be at least 12 years old to paddle their own kayak. For younger kids, consider a tandem kayak with an adult. It’s a great way to bond, and kids usually have a blast spotting manatees!

Q: What's the rescheduling policy like? What if the weather's bad?

A: If the tour gets canceled due to bad weather, they’ll offer you a chance to reschedule. It’s best to call ahead if you're worried about conditions on the day of your booking.

Q: What should we wear for the kayak tour? Is it okay to bring snacks?

A: Dress in light, quick-drying clothing and don’t forget a hat and sunscreen! Flip-flops are fine, but water shoes are better. You can definitely bring snacks, just use the dry bags they provide to keep everything safe.

Thinking about the Silver Springs Manatee Kayak Tour as a gift - anyone been?

I’m looking to gift a unique experience to my sister for her birthday and the Silver Springs Manatee Kayak Tour caught my eye! I love that it's in Orlando and you can see manatees and other wildlife. What’s it like paddling there? How hard is it to kayak for beginners? Any tips would be appreciated!

Anyone else taken the kayak tour? How was the wildlife?

I bought a gift voucher for the Silver Springs Manatee Kayak Tour for my best friend’s family. They love nature and I'm hoping they get to see lots of cool animals! How was the wildlife when you went? Did you see anything besides manatees?
