Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for kids to go on the clear kayak rentals?

A: There's no strict age limit, but I'd recommend kids around 5 and up will have the best time. They need to be able to wear a life jacket comfortably and paddle if they want to help out. Just make sure you supervise them closely, especially since there are manatees and monkeys around!

Q: What if it rains? Do they cancel the rentals?

A: They don't cancel for light rain, but if there are storms or really bad weather, it's best to check in with them beforehand. They usually allow you to reschedule for a later date if you can't go. Just keep an eye on the forecast!

Q: Is there parking nearby, and how much does it cost?

A: Yes, there’s a parking lot right near the rental area, and it’s $5 for the entire day. There’s usually plenty of spots, but it can get busy on weekends! Just make sure to arrive a bit early.

Just did the clear kayak rentals at Silver Springs, and WOW!

I recently went to Silver Springs for the clear kayak rentals and it was incredible! The water is just so clear, you can see all kinds of fish, and I even spotted a manatee! We used their treasure maps which made the whole thing feel like an adventure. The kayaks were super easy to handle. Definitely bring a waterproof phone case for pics! I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a chill day in nature.

Thinking of gifting this kayaking experience, any thoughts?

I'm considering getting the clear kayak rentals for my partner's birthday. They love being outdoors! How's the difficulty level? Can two adults fit in the tandem kayaks comfortably? I want to make sure it's a good gift!
