Q&A
A: Yes, each kayak has a weight limit of around 250 pounds. Just keep that in mind when planning your trip. It’s also worth checking the weather before you go, as choppy water can be tricky! Enjoy the views, though—Redwood City is beautiful!
A: There’s no strict age limit, but kids under 12 should be accompanied by an adult. It’s a great family-friendly activity! Just make sure they wear their life jackets and are comfortable with being out on the water.
A: There’s a decent-sized parking lot right near the rental place, so you shouldn’t have any issues finding a spot. Just make sure to arrive a little early during the weekends, as it can get crowded! Plus, you can grab some snacks at nearby cafes afterward.

Thinking of gifting a kayak rental in Redwood City—any tips?
I'm thinking about getting a single kayak rental for my brother’s birthday. He loves outdoor activities and I think this would be perfect! It’s only $40 for the first hour. Can anyone who’s done it share what the experience was like? How’s the scenery? What should he wear?
Anyone else just love kayaking in Redwood City?
I recently rented a kayak and paddled around the Bay. It was $40 for the first hour and I ended up staying for about three hours! The waves were calm and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous. I saw seals too! I highly recommend it as a gift or just for yourself. Just make sure you’re ready to paddle a bit, but it’s super relaxing once you get going.
