Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for kayaking on Big Hickory Pass?

A: There's no strict age limit, but kids need to be at least 6 years old to paddle in their own kayak. Younger kids can ride along with an adult, which is a great way to introduce them to kayaking. Just make sure they're comfortable in the water and wearing a life vest!

Q: What should I wear for kayaking in Fort Myers? Is it hot?

A: You'll definitely want to dress for the Florida heat! Lightweight, quick-dry clothes are the way to go. A swimsuit and a rash guard work great! Don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen, and maybe a hat. It can get really sunny out there, especially if you plan on spending time on the beach afterward.

Q: Can the kayaking tour be rescheduled if the weather looks bad?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather isn't safe for kayaking. They’re pretty accommodating with this because safety comes first. Just make sure to contact them in advance, and they’ll work with you to find a new time that fits your schedule!

Thinking about gifting a kayak rental at Big Hickory Pass!

Hey everyone! I’m looking to get a kayak rental experience at Big Hickory Pass for my sister’s birthday. She loves nature and I think seeing dolphins and manatees would blow her mind! It’s priced so well too, but I wanna know if anyone has been there? How was the beach? Any tips on what to bring?

Just did the kayak rental experience—loved it!

I just got back from my kayak rental at Big Hickory Pass, and wow! The mangroves were stunning and we saw dolphins swimming right next to us! The beach was pretty secluded too. I highly recommend bringing your own snacks and a portable speaker for some tunes while you chill out. Can’t wait to do it again!
