Q&A
A: Yes, the tours are generally suitable for ages 12 and up, but younger kids can join if they're accompanied by an adult. Just keep in mind that some of the stories can be intense, so it might not be suitable for very young children. If you’re thinking of this as a gift for a younger teen, they might actually love the thrill!
A: Definitely wear comfortable shoes since you'll be walking about a mile around the Gaslamp District. It's mostly outdoors, so dress according to the season. If it's chilly, bring a jacket, especially since the tour runs into the evening. Layering is key!
A: The tours usually go on rain or shine! They may adjust the route slightly if the weather is really bad, but typically, they don’t cancel. Just check the weather before you go and maybe bring an umbrella if it looks dicey. It adds to the spooky vibe anyway!

Had an amazing time on the San Diego Ghost Tour!
I just did the Sinister Shadows of San Diego Gaslamp Ghost Tour last weekend, and it was so much fun! Our guide was super knowledgeable and shared some crazy stories about the Horton Grand Hotel and the Yamada Building. We even got to hear ghostly tales of the Carriage Works! The vibe was perfect for a spooky night out—definitely recommend it for a unique date night or if you're looking for an interesting gift!
Debating whether to gift this ghost tour...
I’m considering giving the Sinister Shadows of San Diego Gaslamp Ghost Tour as a gift for my friend’s birthday. She loves spooky stuff, but I’m not sure if she’d appreciate a walking tour. Anyone have thoughts on how scary the stories really are? Like, will she just laugh it off or will it actually be creepy?
