Q&A

Q: What's the best time of year to do the fishing charter in Sitka?

A: The summer months, especially June through August, are ideal for this charter. You'll have better fishing opportunities and the weather is generally milder. The scenery is stunning too! Just remember to book early since spots can fill up quickly.

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this fishing charter?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but it’s recommended for kids who are at least 5 years old. Make sure they can follow instructions and enjoy being on the water for a few hours. Also, they might want to wear life jackets, which are provided.

Q: What should I wear for the fishing charter?

A: Wear layers since it can get chilly on the water. Definitely bring rubber boots and rain gear, just in case. Also, a hat and sunscreen are essential because the sun can be strong even if it’s cloudy.

Thinking of getting the fishing charter as a gift, any thoughts?

I'm considering getting the Sitka Eco-Friendly 5-hour Catch & Release Private Fishing Charter for my dad's birthday. He’s an avid fisherman and loves the outdoors. I read that you can fish as long as you want and take in the beautiful views of Sitka Sound. Sounds amazing! Just wondering if anyone has done this and what your experience was like.

Questions about the fishing charter logistics!
