Q&A
A: There aren’t any strict age restrictions. Families with kids are definitely welcome! Just keep in mind that younger kids might need a little extra supervision on the boat. Also, the tour lasts a couple of hours, so if they get restless easily, plan accordingly.
A: The prime whale watching season is from late May to early September. During this time, you can spot Humpback whales as they come to feed, and it's also easier to see sea otters and sea lions. If you can, go in July for the best chances of seeing a variety of wildlife!
A: Dress in layers! It can get chilly out on the water, so a waterproof jacket is a must. Also, wear comfortable shoes since you'll be moving around the boat. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen, even if it looks cloudy!

Thinking about gifting the whale watching tour in Sitka!
Hey everyone! I’m considering gifting the local whale watching tour (#SitkaSeaLevelAdventures) to my dad for his birthday. He loves nature and animals, and I heard this tour has great reviews. Does anyone have recent experience? What should I know? Thanks!
Anyone done the whale watching tour? What to expect?
I’m planning a trip to Sitka and thinking of booking the whale watching tour as a surprise for my partner. I want to make sure it’s worth it! How long is the tour, and do they really get close to the whales? Any tips would be awesome!
