Q&A

Q: Is there a weight limit for the van or any restrictions for large groups on the Sitka Scenic Tour?

A: There's no specific weight limit mentioned for the Sitka Scenic Tour, but since it’s a small group tour, they recommend booking early if you have a larger party. The van holds 10 passengers max, so it’s perfect for intimate experiences. Just double-check with Sitka Wildlife Tours if you have any specific concerns.

Q: What should we wear for the Sitka Scenic Tour? Is it cold or rainy in August?

A: In August, it can be quite variable in Sitka. I’d suggest layering, so you’re comfy no matter the weather. A light waterproof jacket is a must, especially since you'll be outside at places like the Fortress of the Bear. Comfortable shoes are also a good idea for walking around!

Q: Are there any age restrictions for this tour? Can kids join?

A: Kids are totally welcome on the Sitka Scenic Tour! It's designed for all ages, but they recommend keeping an eye on younger ones since there are some outdoor stops. It’s a great family-friendly option and everyone can enjoy the sights together!

Just booked the Sitka Scenic Tour! What should I expect?

Hey everyone! I just snagged a spot on the Sitka Scenic Tour for next weekend and I’m super excited. I’ve heard great things about the local guides and getting to see the totem poles and bears at Fortress of the Bear sounds amazing! Has anyone done this recently? What was your favorite part? Do you have any tips?
