Q&A
A: There's no specific age limit for kids, but I'd say it’s perfect for ages 5 and up. The tour is family-friendly, and younger kids seem to enjoy the dog mushing camp and the puppies. Just make sure they can handle a long bus ride and the cooler weather in Yukon!
A: Yes! If the weather forecasts look harsh, you can definitely reschedule. The company is pretty flexible about that. Just give them a call a day ahead if you’re concerned about the weather!
A: Dress in layers! It can get chilly, especially when you're near the lakes. I'd suggest a windbreaker, comfy shoes for the bus, and maybe a hat and gloves if you're planning to be outside a lot at the dog camp. You’ll be fine as long as you’re prepared!

Just got back from the Yukon Discovery Tour - WOW!
I just did the Yukon Discovery Tour in Skagway and it was such an amazing experience! The scenery driving through White Pass was jaw-dropping, and the stop at Emerald Lake was just beautiful. We even got to pet the puppies at the dog mushing camp - they were so adorable! Lunch was really good, too, and they had coffee/tea included. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a unique gift or experience in Alaska!
Thinking about gifting the Yukon Discovery Tour!
I’m considering this Yukon Discovery Tour for my parents' anniversary. They love nature and animals, plus who wouldn’t want to play with puppies? I just want to make sure it’s not too strenuous for them. Anyone done it who can weigh in?
