Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the dog sledding tour? Is it cold?

A: Definitely dress in layers! The Yukon can be chilly, especially in the morning. Wear waterproof boots, warm socks, and a good jacket. Don't forget gloves and a hat as well, as you’ll be outside with the dogs. You can always remove layers if it warms up later.

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour? Can I bring my toddler?

A: Kids of all ages can join, but keep in mind that toddlers might need to sit on a parent's lap during the sled ride. The tour is really family-friendly, and they even have a petting farm that kids love! Just make sure to prepare for the weather.

Q: How's the food on this tour? What are the options for lunch?

A: Lunch is pretty good! You have a choice between chicken or a vegetarian option. They also provide coffee, tea, and water. Plus, there’s time to check out the wildlife museum and the petting farm while you eat. It’s a nice break during the tour.

Just got back from the Yukon Dog Sledding tour – amazing!

I just did the Yukon Dog Sledding and Sightseeing Tour and it was such a blast! The dogs were so friendly and the ride through the wilderness was breathtaking. We got to stop at some stunning spots like Emerald Lake and even saw some wildlife! The puppy camp was my favorite part – who doesn’t love puppies?! Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Skagway.

Thinking about gifting the dog sledding experience, thoughts?

I’m considering getting the Yukon Dog Sledding tour for my partner’s birthday. Has anyone done this? I heard the mushing experts are super nice, and the whole experience sounds fun. Just want to know if it’s worth it and any tips!
