Q&A
A: Yes, there isn't a strict age limit, but most guests are adults or older teens since the tour includes a lot of historical context and discussion around the artwork. If you're bringing younger kids, just be aware they might get restless during the 2.5 hours. It's best for ages 12 and up, but younger ones are welcome if you think they'll enjoy it.
A: Absolutely! If you need to reschedule, just reach out to Babylon Tours at least 48 hours in advance. They'll work with you to find a new date that fits your schedule. Just be mindful of the 48-hour policy to avoid any extra fees.
A: Comfort is key! I’d recommend wearing something casual but stylish since you’ll be in a museum. The floors can get cold, so layers are a good idea. Also, if you plan on taking pictures, bright colors look great against the art. Leave the heels at home if you’re worried about walking around!

Thinking about this semi-private tour at the Art Institute!
Hey everyone! I'm thinking about gifting the Skip the Line tour at the Art Institute of Chicago to my partner for our anniversary. I've heard great things about the guided tours and the semi-private aspect seems awesome. The idea of seeing pieces like 'Nighthawks' and 'La Grande Jatte' without the crowds is really appealing! Has anyone done this? Any tips or insights would be appreciated!
Just got back from the Art Institute tour!
OMG, I just did the Skip the Line Art Institute tour, and it was AMAZING! Our group was super small, which made it feel really intimate. We got to see 'The Old Guitarist' up close, and the guide shared some behind-the-scenes stories that made the art come alive. Highly recommend this to anyone considering it as a gift!
