Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for the aquarium experience?

A: No age restrictions here! Children under 3 are free, which is great for families. The exhibits are pretty engaging for all ages, but I'd say younger kids really love the touch tanks and the sea otters. Just be sure to keep an eye on your little ones, as it can get busy on weekends.

Q: Do I need to buy tickets in advance or can I just show up?

A: It's best to buy tickets in advance to skip that long line! Especially on weekends and holidays, it can get super crowded. You can buy them online directly from their site. Just print them or show the email at the entrance. Also, if you need to reschedule, they usually allow changes with a day's notice.

Q: What’s the best time of year to visit the aquarium?

A: Honestly, any time can be fun because the exhibits change! But I’d say spring and fall are great for less crowds and lovely weather. The frogs exhibit just opened, so summer is also exciting if you want to check that out. Just keep in mind it can get hot in Long Beach, so plan for cooler clothes.

Thinking of gifting aquarium tickets for my daughter's birthday!

Hey everyone! I'm considering giving my daughter Aquarium of the Pacific tickets for her 7th birthday. She loves animals, especially sea creatures! I read there's a new frogs exhibit, too, which she’d probably love. Would it be a good experience for her? Any tips on what to expect or how to make the day special?

Just went to the aquarium! Amazing day!

Wow, I just got back from the Aquarium of the Pacific and it was awesome! The sea otters were so playful, and the frogs exhibit was really cool—so colorful! I recommend the 4D movie; it was quite the experience. We spent about 4 hours there and still didn’t see everything. If you’re thinking about going, definitely do it!
