Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to join the sled dog ride?

A: Great question! Kids as young as 5 can participate, but I recommend checking with the provider to confirm any weight limits or specific guidelines. It's a fantastic experience for families!

Q: What should we wear for this experience? Any tips?

A: Dress in layers! It's best to wear waterproof boots, warm socks, and a good winter coat if you're going in the winter. Gloves and a hat are a must too! If it's summer, you'll want to dress comfortably for a bit of a bumpy ride.

Q: Can you reschedule if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather conditions aren't safe for the ride. Just reach out to the provider as soon as possible to discuss your options. They’re pretty flexible about it!

Just booked the sled dog ride from Anchorage—super excited!

I just booked the sled dog ride and scenic drive for next month! Can't wait to see the huskies and learn about mushing. We’re going in winter, so I hope there's enough snow for the sleds. I'm a bit nervous about the cold, but I've heard they provide snacks and drinks. Anyone have tips for what to expect?

I did the sled dog ride last summer, and it was epic! We rode in those two-person carts and got to interact with the huskies. The drive to Willow was stunning too. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone visiting Anchorage. Any tips for first-timers?
