Q&A
A: Yes, the age limit is that kids must be at least 6 years old to drive the dog team. However, children under 6 can ride in the sled with an adult. They’ll be totally accommodated, especially if they’re nervous. The staff is really friendly and great with kids!
A: Dress in layers! It gets really cold, even if you’re in the Arctic oven tent for breaks. Make sure to wear warm socks, gloves, and a hat. They do provide extra winter gear if you need it, which is a nice touch. Just be ready for some fun in the snow!
A: If the weather isn't safe for sledding, the team usually offers options to reschedule. It’s important to check in before you go, as they’ll let you know about any cancellations. They care about safety, so you should be good.

Thinking about the Sledding and Homesteading Adventure for my kids!
I’m considering giving this experience as a gift for my kids (ages 8 and 5). The idea of them driving the dog team is so exciting! Has anyone done it? I’m curious about the dogs and if they’re really friendly like it says. Also, how long does the experience usually last? Any tips?
Sledding Adventure in Fairbanks - Is it worth it?
I got this as a gift and OMG, it was amazing! The Arctic oven tent was a lifesaver for warming up. Plus, the hot cocoa was a nice touch after being outside. Who else loved the dog interactions? I want to go again!
