I am a long time local and guide who has worked with thousands of people. This experience is meeting up with me to learn something about the area and check in with where you are at and offer a series of mindfulness prompts to do on a trail you pick.I do not go with you as a hiking guide. We use Whats app to stay in touch and I also offer local tips, hiking suggestions and answer questions about the area. I'm basically an expert guide in your pocket. I would say this experience is best for the person who really wants to slow down and find a connection with the land. It can also be a good value for the right person as hiking tours can start at $150. It may not be a fit for the person who wants an entertainment experience( try my Uptown Scavenger hunt for a fast paced fun adventure) or who is just coming along for the ride.Because its something new, slow and introspective the grumpy relative or friend with you won't be a good fit. There is a lot of magic in the red rocks.

Q&A

Q: What kind of hiking trails can I choose for this experience?

A: You can choose from a variety of trails in the Sedona area! The guide can suggest different options based on your skill level and interests. Some popular choices include Cathedral Rock and Bell Rock, both offering stunning views and great spots for mindfulness. Just make sure the trail you pick aligns with what you're comfortable hiking!

Q: Is there an age limit for participants in this experience?

A: No strict age limits, but it's generally more suited for adults or younger teens who can appreciate the mindfulness aspect. If you're considering gifting this to a child or someone not into introspective experiences, it might be better to look at something else. The guide can provide insights that resonate more with an adult audience.

Q: What do I need to wear for this experience?

A: Dress comfortably! I recommend wearing breathable layers since Sedona can get hot, but mornings can be cool. Sturdy hiking shoes are a must, and don't forget a hat and sunscreen if you're going during the day. Also, you might want some snacks and water with you.

Has anyone done the Slow Down experience in Sedona?

I'm thinking about gifting this to my sister for her birthday. She loves nature and mindfulness, and it seems like a perfect fit! I'm just curious about how the WhatsApp communication works since the guide doesn’t hike with you. Is it easy to stay connected?

Thinking about the Sedona Earth Energies experience for my mom...

She’s been feeling a bit overwhelmed and I think this would be a great way for her to relax. Can anyone share what kind of tips or mindfulness prompts were given? Also, was it worth it for the price?
