We are the "Quiet Alternative to an Airboat Ride". A boating, kayaking and walking tour in Everglades National Park. Our most popular tour! With your Florida Master Naturalist Guide on the boat; searching for dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, rosette spoonbills, herons, egrets, ospreys, eagles and shore birds, learn about the Everglades different ecosystems, its long history and rich culture. At 1st sheltered destination, we will deploy very stable kayaks. The stealth of the kayak allows you to get close to the flora and fauna. Our next destination is an uninhabited barrier island beach where you will be led on a leisurely, hands-on walking tour. Expect to see more seashells than you ever have. After the walk, we are back in the kayaks, then the boat, then back to home base. Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.

Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the kayaking and walking tour in the Everglades?

A: You'll want to wear lightweight, moisture-wicking clothes since it can get hot and humid in the Everglades. Closed-toed water shoes are a good idea for the walking tour and kayaking. Don't forget to bring a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray. Trust me, the mosquitoes can be relentless!

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to join this eco tour?

A: The tour is suitable for kids aged 5 and up, as long as they're comfortable in a kayak and walking on the beach. It's a great way to get them interested in nature, but just make sure they can handle the kayak ride. If your kids are younger, consider a private tour.

Q: What happens if it rains? Can we reschedule?

A: If it rains, they usually try to reschedule the tour for another day as long as there's availability. It's best to check the weather forecast before you go. Sometimes, they can still go out if it’s just light rain, but they'll let you know beforehand. Just keep an eye on your email from them!

Just booked the Everglades eco tour! Any tips?

I just got a gift voucher for the Small-Group Everglades Boating Kayaking and Walking Eco Tour! I’m so excited but a little nervous about the kayaking part. Any tips on what to expect or how to prepare? Also, does anyone know if there are good spots for photos?

Awesome experience in the Everglades!

I did the Small-Group Everglades eco tour last month and it was amazing! We saw so many dolphins and even a manatee! The kayaking was super chill, and the walking tour on the barrier island was really cool. I brought my kids and they loved collecting seashells. Highly recommend it for families!
