Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for the kayak tour? Can kids join?

A: Kids can join the kayak tour, but it’s recommended for ages 10 and up. They need to be able to paddle and follow instructions. If you’re bringing younger ones, you might want to check if they can sit in a double kayak with an adult. Just make sure to call ahead about specific concerns!

Q: What should we wear for the swamp tour? Is it muddy?

A: Definitely wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet! Quick-dry shorts and a light shirt work well. Water shoes or sandals are also a good idea since it can get muddy. Sunscreen and bug spray are a must too!

Q: How's the parking situation near the meeting point? Will it be hard to find?

A: Parking can be tricky, especially during busy times. There’s a lot nearby, but it fills up fast. I'd recommend getting there at least 30 minutes early to find a spot. Also, check for any street signs—can’t park everywhere!

I’m considering this kayak tour for my boyfriend's birthday. He loves being outdoors and exploring new places. I read it’s guided by a local naturalist, which sounds awesome! Any tips on what to bring or what to expect? Should we be worried about the weather?
