Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour?

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but it's best for kids aged 8 and up since they'll be doing some walking and exploring. Just make sure they're comfortable with hiking on uneven terrain. The guides are really great with families, so they'll take care to make it fun for everyone!

Q: How does the weather affect the tour? Do they cancel if it's raining?

A: Generally, they go rain or shine unless the weather is really severe. If it's just light rain, they might give you ponchos and continue. If you're worried, you can always call Detours of Arizona before your tour to check on conditions!

Q: What should we wear for the Sedona tour? Is it more of a casual thing?

A: Definitely go with casual, comfy clothes and sturdy shoes for walking! The terrain can be uneven, so leave the flip-flops at home. I’d recommend layering, too, since it can get a bit chilly in the morning and warmer as the day goes on.

Just got back from the Sedona Ruins tour and wow!

I just did the small group tour from Phoenix to Sedona and it was incredible! The red rocks are even more stunning in person. We had about 3 hours of free time to check out the galleries and grab a bite. Our guide was super knowledgeable about the Native American history, which made the ruins even cooler to see. If you’re thinking about gifting this, do it! It’s an awesome experience!

Is this tour good for a birthday gift? Looking for ideas!

I’m considering this Sedona and Native American ruins tour as a birthday gift for my sister. She loves nature and history, plus she’s been wanting to visit Arizona. Seems like a perfect fit with the small group size too! Has anyone done it for a special occasion? How was it?
